This Labour weekend marks three years that

Harcourts has been open in P

auanui, and the

team at Next Generation Pauanui have certainly

had a massive impact on the local real estate

scene in that short period!

The aptly named “Dynamic Duo” of Alyce Rowe

and Katie Wardenburg – recognised easily in

their black mini convertible, with license plate

‘Da Grls’ – have together sold over $40 million

in Pauanui properties since opening their office.

Soon after the mini arrived, the duo brought

Tylah Dix on board as their administrator and the

‘trio’ have been together since.

After Harcourts had closed their Pauanui office

10 years before, another well-known brand had

taken over the lion’s share of the real estate

market. So initially, some in the industry were

sceptical that such a young team could succeed

in bringing Harcourts back, but this only spurred

this bold team onto greater effort.

“We were the new kids on the block – the

next generation – and the opportunity to start

something fresh and take on a new challenge

was awesome,” says Alyce.

“People now know

we are here to stay – we are already getting repeat

business and a lot of referrals!”

EXPANDING BUSINESS CONNECTIONS

Harcourts Pauanui has recently joined the

Coromandel Beaches Realty f

ranchise that has

offices in Whangamata, Tairua, Whitianga and

Coromandel town.

Alyce has also joined forces with Tony and

Pip White, owners of the Harcourts Tairua, to

become joint business owners of both Harcourts

offices in Pauanui and Tairua.

This restructure

combines the expertise, experience, and networks

of Tony and Pip with the enthusiasm, energy of

the next generation of team in Pauanui.

After 20 years with the well-known Harcourts

Cooper and Co. franchise, Tony and Pip moved

here from the North Shore of Auckland.

Together they sold over 600 homes on the

North Shore and found that many of their

clients, friends and family, were moving to

the east coast of the Coromandel. They

were also desperate to

get out of the rat race,

and ‘right size’ their lives.

“We’re really excited about how this

collaboration will change the real estate

landscape and make a real difference to

how residential homes are marketed on the

Paradise Coast – for the better”, says Tony.

Tairua and Pauanui Harcourts

Team join forces to make

a strong presence on the

Paradise Coast.

NEWS FLASH from Alastair Brickell at Stargazers B&B

NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft that visited Pluto in 2015 will zip past

the most distant object ever visited on January 1 at 14km/second.

“Ultima Thule”, a dwarf planet only discovered in 2014, is 6 light hours

away and at minus 2200 C a complete mystery. We think it is about

30km in diameter but don’t know if it has moons or rings, is icy or rocky

or even if it’s a double planet. Stay tuned!
